Adding an eContact

1. When you first enter the eContacts option a Select An Option window appears with the following options:

 

Scroll to the category type of contact you wish to create and press Enter to confirm.

2. At the ID field, enter the ID number for the contact for the category type you have selected. For instance, if the Customer category was selected, enter the Customer ID in the ID field.

If you are selecting a Customer or Vendor eContact and are uncertain of the customer code or vendor code, see Navigating Net Yield - Selecting a Customer ID Code and Selecting a Vendor Code.

If you are entering a Company or User eContact, the company or user name will automatically populate the ID field. Proceed to Step #3.

If you are adding a Broker, Buyer, Carrier, Location, or Sales Rep category contact, you may press the F3 key to display a Select A (Category Name) window will appear with the following options:

 

Scroll to the appropriate contact and press Enter to select.

3. A Select An Option window will display with the following options:

 

Scroll to ADD and press Enter to confirm your selection.

4. A Contacts screen will display. Refer to field list in eContact to fill out each of the required fields.

If Customer, Vendor, or Location eContact was selected in Step #1 a Select A Role window will appear when you enter the Roles field. The following options will display:

 

Scroll to the appropriate role or roles and press Enter to select or select ALL to select ALL roles.

5. When you have finished entering the contact information command options will appear:

 

Select Add Contact. You will be positioned to create another eContact in the Contacts screen. If you are done creating eContacts, press Enter and then select the EXIT option until you exit and return to the User menu.
